I've been seeing Friska for a couple of years for therapeutic massage. I don't have specific problem areas for her to focus on like some of the reviewers. Her general massage includes lots of stretching and is very thorough. She tailors her work to my requests (deeper vs lighter, more vs less stretching, etc), is not a clock watcher, and has an exceptionally pleasant personality. I drive 45 min to see her, which tells you a little about how much I value her services. Hands down, best massage therapist I have ever been too! I have gone to over 100 different places spas, top notch hotels and still Friska beats everyone! I have been going to Friska since June of 2010, and will only go to her. All my tension falls in my neck and also found out through Friska, my shoulder blades. She has awesome customer service and can always get you in whenever you need. She is very professional, and makes your feel completely comfortable. Plus, her pricing her perfect! I told her the first time I met her I was hesitate to go to someone's house to get a massage, but I honestly like it more than going to a Spa. The room set for for the massage, is very welcoming, and relaxing. If you are looking for a massage therapist, look no more, you have found the best of the best! This is the best
massage therapist I have ever visited and I have been to over 50, several different states and countries. Friska's technique is at the perfect pace and pressure, and she was able to reach the knots in my shoulder more effectively than any other LMT I have visited. I have received over 10 massages from Friska and highly recommend her. Her location is a perfect, professional setting, it is safe and easy to locate, just off I-80. Went to Friska for shoulder, neck and lower back pain. I must say this was the BEST massage I had in several years.
She is very professional and has good knowledge of the body. She worked the areas using deep tissue technique and then the rest of my body with the Swedish.
If you are in need of the same type of treatment that I had or need to gain flexibility or just stress reduction, I highly recommend her and her magic hands.

I went to Friska for help with a nagging sports injury, iliotibial band syndrome, which is treated with deep tissue massage. I would describe the session as serious sports physical therapy more so than a massage. It was painful but I was in good hands, literally.
She displayed knowledge of treatment theory that immediately made me comfortable with her. We talked on the phone about the treatment and she warned that is was painful. She worked the area where I needed help for the whole hour which was very impressive as she displayed strength and physical and mental stamina to get deep into my leg for the whole hour. She knows her anatomy and has the physical ability to put her knowledge to work.
When I am healed I will go to her for a regular massage and update with a review

I would first like to say thank you for being able to see me the same day. The pain in my shoulder had become unbearable. I have to admit that I was a little apprehensive about seeing a massage therapist; I was totally surprised at what a relaxed and friendly atmosphere it was. Friska also was very pro-active in showing me stretching exercise that will help prevent future muscle pain. I will definitely be making future appointments.
